Typically one sided: Because typically it is coming from a molar on one side. If it is moving downward into the floor of your mouth or into your neck (with swelling) it is a true emergency ad you should be seen promptly and possibly would require surgical drainage. And your question is: Toothache usually means infection. Sounds like yours is spreading, and this can be quite dangerous. Infection spreads via blood stream and harms other organ systems. See General Dentist, root canal specialist Endodontist, or specialist Oral Surgeon immediately. Your infection will not self heal, and there is not OTC or Rx that will affect a cure. You must see a Dentist now.
