How long does it take abdominal muscles to repair, swelling to subside post diep flap surgery for breast recon surgery. how long do wound take to heal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mastectomy surgery: After mastectomy for breast surgery, rectus muscle reconstruction of a breast will have swelling and pain, which will gradually subside over approximately 6-8 weeks. True "healing" may take longer for all the swelling to resolve. Check with your surgeon to make sure progress is going as expected.
