Days: The majority of the initial swelling will diminish over the course of a few days. However, you will still have some residual swelling that could take several weeks to go away completely. If you are having increased swelling or long term residual swelling, then i recommend going to see your board certified plastic surgeon for a post-op exam.

Variable - Days: Depends on type of reduction, placement of incisions, size/volume of reduction needed, individual wound healing and general health. Usual swelling and bruising about 1 week, with mild-moderate swelling for another 1-2 weeks. Swelling reduced with use of thrombin activated platelet concentrates during surgery. Follow specific instructions of your surgeon to reduce swelling, bruising and healing.

Varies: Arnica homeopathic 30c or 200c three times a day for 3-5 days can help reduce swelling and bruising. Acupuncture can help a lot with reducing swelling and speeding healing. So it all depends on the person, modalities used, extent of surgery, etc.

Ranges: Most swelling resolves in 4-6 weeks, but milder swelling can last up to 6 months.

Swelling & sag: Generally speaking it generally takes close to 6-9ontha following any breast surgery for resolution of swelling and settling of the breasts, however about 85% o the results are obtained by 3 months.

Tell him the truth: You have a medical condition giving you significant problems. In order to treat this condition, you need surgery to reduce the amount of breast tissue. This will not affect your ability to be intimate. He needs to understand that your health is the most important thing. If you had a hernia, you would fix it. If you had diabetes, you would use insulin. Your condition is really no different.
