Balanced diet: Eating a balanced diet which has adequate iodine is essential for people suffering from hypothyroidism. Some iodine-rich foods are cranberries, seaweed, shrimp, dried prunes, & lobster. Thyroid hormone replacement medication as directed by your doctor is recommended. Too much dietary fiber can impair the absorption of synthetic thyroid hormone. Best of luck with your health!
