Most foods are OK: You were probably started on levothyroxine for hypothyroid treatment. Certain dietary products like coffee, fiber, and soy may slightly decrease the body’s absorption of levothyroxine. You needn’t avoided these foods, but talk with your doctor before making a large change in your diet. Blood tests can determine if you are absorbing enough medication.
