Low MCV, mch : May be early signs of anemia low iron before the actual blood count goes down may be due to period if female or celiac disease or gastric issues. Rarely may be alpha thalassemia trait. ( need hemoglobin electrophoresis to diagnosis ) and and genetic testing (alpha thalassemia mutations panel) f/u/ w/ MD
