Left bicuspid tooth pain 3mths. dentist finally said needs root canal. root canal tomorrow. i am afraid infection may spread overnight. should i worry?

Don't worry: If the tooth has been painful for months, it's been fractured or infected a lot longer than that. If your Dentist thought it prudent he/she would have put you onto antibiotic coverage. you should be OK until tomorrow.
