Yes; not coronaries: Yes, a complete abdominal ultrasound should detect an abdominal aortic aneurysm. A subtle dissection can be missed by ultrasound and generally requires more advanced imaging. Coronary arterial calcification refers to calcium deposits within the heart arteries, and this is not routinely examined during an abdominal ultrasound.
