A member asked:

I have had a second miscarriage. i went to my gp who also does scans he said it is not necessary to see a ginecologyst. i really wouldn't want to go through another miscarriage and can we start trying again soon?

Miscarriage: With two documented miscarriages, it is appropriate to investigate the causes. Intrauterine scarring (adhesions) or fibroid tumors may cause early miscarriage, or a "double uterus" (incomplete fusion with a uterine septum). Sometimes the ovarian production of progesterone is not sufficient to sustain pregnancy. All of the aforementioned are treatable. See an infertility expert for advice.
