Is it ok to give 5 years old head to toe shower in case fever does not come down with medications?

Why: Fever is part of the bodies natural response to illness. It speeds pulse & allows the blood to move around faster to bring healing factors to the sites of illness. A cool compress can give comfort to the child, but cold showers can actually cause the fever to go up.
