Many possibilities:: Anything from an undetected foreign body in the bronchus, to atypical asthma, to an immune deficiency or cystic fibrosis. Peeling skin does not help in making the diagnosis; you need a good pulmonologist.

Worrisome findings: With the addition of high fevers & pealing fingers & toes, i would worry an additional issue has emerged. In this age group, kawasaki disease can emerge & quick verification is important to the success of treatment. The other lung issue is worrisome but can be worked out over time.Immunoglobulin deficiency, structural abnormalities, cilia dysfunction, CF & other problems could be present.Good luck.

Agree with both : I agree with both drs. Ferguson and belilovsky. This sounds like a complicated case and more than likely has more than 1 answer. The fevers/skin definitely raises the possibility of kawasakis, ut the other chronic lung problems are best evaluated by your pediatrician and a pulmonologist. Good luck.
