A member asked:

Im diagnosed with adenomyosis with more than 50% of 7cm adenomyoma protruding my uterus. ob suggested esmya for 3mos before hysterescopy. is it safe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Esmya: Esmya is "uripristal acetate" and is a progesterone receptor blocker, contraindicated in pregnancy. It has been used to reduce the size of leiomyomata uteri ("fibroids") successfully in Europe. Check with your physician to make certain this is now available and recommended in the United States.
