Backs of both my lower legs to ankles are stiff&sore. especially after i get up from sleeping or sitting down. sharp pain that goes away after abit. in more of my left leg than my right. have to hobble abit just after i start to walk.

Get examined: you will need a physicial exam, x-rays of your lumbo-sacral spine, nerve conduction studies and possibly an MRI of the LS spine. I would suggest an orthopedic evaluation.
