Other antihistamines: There are many other antihistamines available including cetirizine or loratidine or fexofenadine. These are less sedative. Montelukast has some antiallergy activity. A variety of effective anti inflammatory and antiallergic nasal sprays are also available. Topical ointments can help skin allergies. Talk to your family doctor or get to see an allergist
