How likely is a false positive flu test? family member was around our 4 month old preemie all day yesterday till around 18:00 with no symptoms, now today she tested + for flu but dr said it barely even showed up on the test

What type of test: Older flu tests did have a number of false positive results. The newer molecular tests are more reliable. God forbid, your baby gets fever or any problems with breathing, contact your doctor immediately. Wish you and the baby good health.
