A member asked:

I have a patch on my leg, similar to that of a ringworm, so i was told to deworm in order for it to disappear. i did that, but it's still there?

Deworm ?: Ringworm is the common lay term for skin fungus. It has nothing to do with worms. The cause is one of many fungus species that can be found in the dirt, on animals or humans. Treatment of a skin patch is generally a anti-fungal cream. What you mean by deworming or why someone would suggest it is unknown. There are worms that can enter the skin through the feet, but this does not like it.
