Not necessarily: Graft may or may not be needed, but you should be seen by a dentist to have your dentition evaluated to determine the cause of the recession and what should be done to arrest the problem.

Damaged tooth: You, of all people, should know that you have to take time to address health issues. In terms of cost and extent of the problem, Dentistry isn't expensive, neglect is. The longer you put off treatment, the less favorable the prognosis, the more extensive and expensive the treatment. Go see a Dentist now and learn your options. Self-diagnosis is at best risky.
