Good question: Depends on the amount of herniation. Small contained herniation may change with time/remodel. 1. Conservative treatment include:physical therapy, steroid oral/injection, chiropracters, alternative medical care 2. Open surgery: discectomy, percutaneous discectomy, annuloplasty etc.
