Family Practice: Physical therapy including chiropractic treatment would be a start. Massage , ultrasound. Electrical stimulation. I always perform a nerve conduction study to see if there is any nerve damage. If there is nerve root irritation then an epidural shot may be helpful. Also I have found decompression treatment or inverted tables helpful for tempory relief.
