A member asked:

Dr put me on metoprolol 12.5mg 2x day, my hr was staying up from chronic anxiety from pacs, i still have occasional pacs while on bb, is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Paroxysmal atrial: complexes (PACs) are not in itself dangerous if they are not continuously fast or contributing to other significant atrial tachycardias, such as atrial flutter or SVT (supraventricular tachycardia). I would monitor my heart rate and followup with your physician frequently to make sure that your rhythm has not changed. I would continue with metoprolol 12.5 mg 2x/ day right now.
