Abscessed tooth: Tooth will not self heal. Hope you are not self-medicating...bad move. Antibiotic will not cure abscess, only limit spread of infection for as long as you take it. Depending on severity of the infection you will probably require root canal/crown or extraction/implant/crown. Important that you see Dentist immediately. Please get professional care.

Abscess requires: An abscess requires definitive treatment by your dentist and asap as infections can spread and cause serious problems both to surrounding tissues and possible spread to other parts of your body. What you describe can and is most likely related to tooth abscess. See a dentist and discuss your treatment options asap! Antibiotics alone is useless for long term solution and will not cure abscess.
