Why does propranalol er have to be taken at night?i mean it does make me very drowsy. doctor says its very good for palpitations and anxiety.

Propranolol: Drugs.com reports that fatigue and/or lassitude (often transient) & somnolence may occur in 1 to 10%. Sometimes medications are ordered at night, so one might sleep through potential side effects than would occur shortly after taking it. It is used for palpitations and can reduce symptoms from panic.
