Warm water: It is best to clean the area with warm water and keep it most as it heals. It generally takes 7-10 days for a circumcision to heal. Soapy water can be used if needed for cleaning, but avoid diaper wipes because they can be irritating to the skin. It is normal to have some redness and swelling for a few days. Boys generally tolerate the procedure well.
