Please help, how much pain relief can i expect from cortizone (hydrocortisone) injections into a bulging disk?

Depends: Epidural steroid injections work very well in a lot of patients, but in order to work, the pain must really be caused by the disk bulge, when frequently it isn't. You are more likely to have relief if you are having the right constellation of symptoms. Pain doctors can be very helpful.

Depends: Variable pain relief is normal. Some people have complete or near complete relief particularly when coupled with pt, others have almost no relief. Some depends on technique and timing.

How much pain relief should I expect from cortizone (hydrocortisone) injections into a bulging disk?

Depends: It depends upon type of injection also.......A steroid injection usually relieves inflammation but not the physical compression over the nerve which may be there by the bulging disc. So nobody can tell you about % of pain relief.
