Coreg vs cozaar : Two different classes of anti hypertensive medications. Coreg is a member of the beta blocker family- working by slowing the heart beat down(BP is a function of how big the pump (heart( is, how fast it pumps (heartrate) and how much it has to pump against (systemic vascular resistance) Cozaar works on blocking an enzyme that increases systemic vascular resistance. They CAN NOT be interchanged
