Can you recatch strept while still on antibiotics ?

No: If the bacteria resistant to the antibiotic that you are taking , it will not be able to kill the strep bacteria and you will think that you recatched the strep . You need a swab to be taken from the throat for culture and sensitivity test to find an antibiotic that is effective to the strep bacteria.
