Likely normal but...: Babies make a lot of noises from their noses. As long as he is comfortable and you don't see signs of trouble breathing (ribs showing, fast/shallow breaths, collar bone showing), there is a good likelihood the noises are normal. Try the bulb syringe for temporary relief. If crying in sleep doesn't wake him up, it's likely dreaming and not pain. See your Dr to make sure though!
