Mgt: A virtual consult may help to identify the diagnosis. The wheezing sound is a high pitched noise and can be associated with viral or bacterial illness. RSV is one example, and some offices test on site. If there is a fever, cough or respiratory distress please see the ED. A cool air mist humidifier can relieve symptom of congestion.
