A member asked:

I was in contact with a guy with tb ,my siliva is more thicker do i have it? or why is it so

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some basics: TB is a slow growing bacteria that is contagious but much less so than common germs. Those who live in the same household, share the same bed, or are in contact daily for extended periods are most at risk. The TB skin test or a blood test can show evidence of disease but both can be negative in early stages. Saliva varies in thickness for many reasons & is not a specific finding. Seek testing.
