Are adult schizophrenics considered adolescent, the same as autistic adults are considered adolescent? are adult schizophrenics mentally challenged?

Terminology use: Adolescence is generally used to describe the period from puberty to legal adulthood. It is not a psychiatric term nor should it be used as such. Some may inappropriately apply it to adults who act like "adolescents" but this is not proper. Anyone with a mental health issue can range from sub normal intelligence to genius.
