My dad is bipolar and schizophrenic. so does that mean i might have it. so are mental disorders hereditary?

You may or may not: have bipolar or schizophrenia. Although there appear to be hereditary predispositions to develop mental illnesses, not all children of the mentally ill develop the diseases. If you are concerned, talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist to find out if you have any of the symptoms associated with these disorders.
