The : The psychiatrist's job during your court ordered assessment is to make an accurate assessment. It wouldn't make much sense to have psychiatrists perform these types of evaluations if they were easily fooled. A psychiatrist's assessment and recommendation should not be based on if he or she does or does not like you, but instead on the full picture. I would let the psychiatrist know about your past medical history. I think showing the psychiatrist your goals is important, especially in terms of how you would function in your home and in society and your goals regarding treatment of your schizophrenia. Normally, the court orders these types of assessments when they strongly believe it is in your best interest or of the interest of those around you. This is especially true if there are safety concerns or concerns that you might not be able to adequately care for yourself. I can not provide legal advice. Did the court provide an option for legal counsel when you are going through the process?. You might want to address your legal question through the ask an attorney avvo site.

Uncomfortable: Your question was cut off, so i'll try to help the best i can. It's uncomfortable to go through concerns about losing your home, and to share your intimate history with a new psychiatrist you don't know. Maybe he fidgits because he's uncomfortable too? But his job is to understand you, and to provide a clear assessment for the court. This could be to assist you, & make sure you have what u need.
