What is the maximum exposure time for slit lamp examination? my ophthalmologist used the slit lamp on my eyes for 5 min. could this damage the eyes?

No: The slit lamp uses visible light and magnification through lenses only, and does not employ lasers, ultraviolet light, or radiation of any sort. There is no maximum exposure time, and it does not cause either corneal or retinal damage of any sort. Hope this helps!
