See below: Sperm morphology is poorly understood. According to the The World Health Organization guidelines, at least 4 percent should have a normal shape. Though normal fertility is poor with <4%, success can still be achieved with IUI and IVF. The 3 main causes of poor sperm morphology: * a genetic trait * exposure to toxic chemicals * increased testicular temperature The last 2 causes may be reversible.
