Yes given that: ultrasounds are subjective in their interpretation at times. difference can be rather impressive between 1 study and the next. Having said that, if you have an acute catastrophic event that caused the heart failure (like a viral illness, or pulmonary embolus, or lung disease, or heart attack), then your EF can drop quickly. The onus is on your physician to find that cause and treat it.
