A "complex" TEAR: of the posterior horn (the meniscus is a piece of cartilage the medial, and lateral are of each side of your knee INTERNALLY.. You have what sounds like SURGICAL situation (an endoscope is used to eliminate the tear)...Until then walk as tolerated but use care on stairs since "locking" may occur.....SEE A BOARD CERTIFIED ORTHOPEDIST as soon as practicable...Hope this is helpful!
