Usually means that-: -tear is not a simple tear, but multi faceted. Mor than one tear but many tears in the posterior horn. Multi layered & not one that can not be repaired, but will only be able to be removed. Most commonly seen in older individuals. See in vocations that requires lots of squatting or in sports multiple injuries or catchers that sguat & twist in the squatted position.
