Not an allergy: Nitrous oxide is a gas &amp; you can't be allergic to it, but you can have a reaction to it. As an inhaled anesthesia it can irritate &amp; trigger cough. If she is not hearing well out of one ear she likely has Eustachian tube dysfunction and a bit of middle ear fluid accumulation. This should all pass within a few days.
