Bland diet: Several loose stools are common as his GI system is recovering.Stick with a bland diet & plenty of fluids. His system will recover faster as he eats, so do your best to get him to do so.Stay away from dairy for now as it is harder to digest. As long as he is urinating, not vomiting persistently, and there is no fever or blood in his stool, he’s OK.If not, call his doctor.

Probiotic: Please provide a Probiotic and reduce dairy products. Keep your son well hydrated, and monitor his temperature for fever. If he has blood or mucus in his stool, contact your pediatrician. Viral illnesses may linger for two weeks, but if he becomes dehydrated or has a prolonged course, please follow up.
