I have an absess on my tooth. i have antibiotics prescribed for the last infection with my tooth, can i take those as well? the pain is agonising

Not suggested: Antibiotics do not cure dental infections (cavities, abscesses), they only reduce the spread of infection for as long as you take the meds. Tooth requires root canal treatment or extraction, usually with antibiotic coverage, if it is abscessed. Taking left-over meds may be ineffective at best, harmful at worst. You must see a Dentist for appropriate treatment. Taking pills will not cure.

Please see dentist: Antibiotics are not a substitute for proper dental care. That infection has been festering for a while. You're just prolonging the inevitable, so call for an appointment now.
