Physical Therapy: can relieve chronic low back pain as well as surgery. Go to the highest ranked Physical Therapy Dept in your locale. Usually takes 3 months. Good luck After that, look into ESI shots. Surgery is a last resort.

Disc surgery: I'm unsure as to whether you're experiencing true herniated disk symptoms such as pain referred to your leg, symptoms keeping you awake, leg weakness for example. If you are, it's worthwhile to undergo evaluation by a neurosurgeon or spine clinic with your current mri for review. Treatment options include surgery, corticosteroid injections, physical therapy, follow up with pain management specialist

You may want-: -to give it some time. Surgery becomes necessary if you have intractable pain or develop neurological symptoms such as weakness. See a fellowship trained spine surgeon for eval as well as advise.
