Depends: Best to call your surgeon for this answer. Also ok to discuss at post op office visit. Generally a laprascopic appendix removal requires 2 weeks of recovery and an open procedure requires 6 weeks. You will probably be ok. Good luck.

Depends: If you had uncomplicated laparoscopic appendectomy (small incisions) then generally you can resume normal activtity in 2-3 weeks. If you had an open appendectomy (larger incision) then you should wait 6 weeks to reduce the risk of developing a hernia.
