A member asked:

I currently take tamsulosin for my prostate. how does this compare to commercial supplement products such as prostacet, proaxil, etc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below : The best-studied and most commonly used supplements to treat prostate problems are: Beta-sitosterol, Pygeum, Rye grass, Pumpkin seeds, Stinging nettle, and Saw palmetto. The problem with supplements in general are the lack of strict regulation, standardization and validated proven value AND their quality, safety, and effects vary making comparisons among the various products impossible.
