I had a ct scan of the abdomen/pelvis yesterday with oral contrast and then an iv. After drinking the oral contrast I got diarrhea. Is this normal with oral contrast and how long will it last? Made me nauseous also?
If someone needs a Ct scan of abdomen and pelvis due to cramps and diarrhea but can't have oral or iv contrast is an ultrasound better. Or is ct better even without contrast? How accurate is a CT scan with no contrast?
HIDA scan at 8 am today, starting at about 1 I was having abdominal cramping and yellow, liquid, fatty diarrhea. It has only gotten worse. The cramping is in my RUQ and low abdomen near pelvis (not period cramps). It is now 6:00 pm. Is this normal?
