Hot palm: If the palm also turns red, a vascular dilatation reaction may be the mechanism. Hormonal stimuli by estrogen swings in females is a possibility. Other causes in men and women include overactive thyroid, hemochromatosis or diabetes and palmar redness can also occur with liver disease.
