Hoping you can tell me, is transplant ever an option for kidney stone treatment?

Very, very rarely.: In patients with renal failure caused by some large kidney stone a transplant may be performed. During my fellowship, i saw a patient who had a large staghorn calculus (stone) in his solitary kidney that eventually led to renal failure. He eventually received a transplant.
