Shockwave therapy is very suitable for a kidney stone of that size. It isn't used in pregnant women though. People over 330 lbs or over 6'6" tall are not suitable candidates but there's no age limit that I'm aware of.

I agree with Dr. Colantino. Side effects of ESWL are possible but most of the time they are transient, not causing any long lasting complication. You should go for it and good luck.
