6 mo s/p dorsal morton neurectomy. don't have nerve pain, but feels like deep bruise on bottom of foot, hurts to press on/hurts running. scar tissue?

After excised the-: -nerve can still form a neuroma,which can be large enough to cause pain as you described. Some people form neuromas more than others. Usually these are always present due to the way nerves heal when they are cut. It is usually located proximal to the weight bearing metatarsal heads and cause no problems, but sounds like you are one of the unlucky ones.
