Not unusual: Main trauma prob occurred in this area. Just took little while for bruise to develop. Rest and take some antinflammatory medication. If symptoms continue X-ray may be helpful. Make sure no hairline fracture

Get it checked.: Give it another week. If it does not improve, seek medical advise and have an x-ray to rule out any stress fractures

Sprain or fracture: Sounds like you have an ankle sprain that's not healing well. Noticing a bruise 2 weeks after the injury says "something" is still bleeding under the skin. You may even have a small avulsion fracture associated with the pulled ligament that's just bad enough to cause pain but not stop you from walking. You should definitely get a x-ray and at least an ankle brace in the interim.
