Obtain an audio recording of the sound for your physician. Very often the described sound by parents doesn't correlate with physician diagnosed wheezing. If your son has developed a new onset of wheezing, note any potential triggers, including smoke exposure, allergens-pollen,dust. Note pattern of wheezing, time of day, with infectious symptoms, watch for rapid breathing, fever and distress.
